Course Description: Effective January 1, 2008, the United States District Court, Central District of California, will require mandatory electronic filing (e-filing) of all civil documents.  Attorneys wishing to file civil documents are required to complete a court-approved computer training course prior to receiving an e-filing account.  Attorneys’ staff are also encouraged to take this course.  This is a hands-on workshop at individual computers that will provide the information necessary to meet the court’s mandatory requirements of the Electronic Civil Filing System (ECFS).   NOTE:  Although staff may assist in doing the actual hands-on e-filing, the court will issue an e-filing account to attorneys only, and only after the attorney has successfully completed the course.

Prerequisite: In order to obtain an efiling account the attorney must be admitted to and in good standing with the United States District Court Central District of California. Support staff is welcome to take the course as well but no account will be issued to anyone except admitted attorneys.
